Allisa Wu

Director of Membership

Allisa is an associate at the Hum Law Firm, A Professional Corporation, specializing in workplace and employment law. Prior to entering the legal profession, Allisa obtained a Bachelor of Commerce from the Desautels Faculty of Management of McGill University, majoring in Labour-Management Relations and International Business. Though Allisa is just beginning her career in the legal profession, she is passionate about assisting those who may have limited access to legal services. Along with her firm, she hopes to achieve a new standard of access to justice, which would allow those whose rights have been violated to finally stand up for themselves. With her firm, Allisa has plans to reach out to the local Asian communities and educating them of their legal workplace rights.

Aside from being a member of good standing with the Law Society of Upper Canada, Allisa is a candidate of the New York State Bar, with her call date set for December 2014. As a member of the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers (FACL), the Ontario Bar Association (OBA), the Canadian Bar Association (CBA), and the Toronto Lawyers Association (TLA), Allisa continues to engage herself in her local communities and hopes to expand her network and inspire those around her with her enthusiasm.  Allisa is also incredibly excited and pleased to serve in the role as Director of Membership at NAAAP Toronto which is a terrific spring board towards broader out-reach to the Asian professional community.
