Justin Poy is the President and Creative Director of The Justin Poy Agency (www.justinpoy.com). As a full service strategic and creative agency based in Toronto, Canada, the Justin Poy Agency focuses on strategic creative campaigns, targeted niche market advertising and marketing technologies. In the spring of 2002, Justin launched a new service called holoAd which invents, licenses and deploys 3D holographic marketing solutions.
Justin has extensive experience in developing and creating marketing and advertising campaigns targeted towards various Asian markets in Canada and abroad, specifically in the Chinese (Hong Kong, Mainland and Taiwanese), Korean and South Asian markets. Justin has won 11 Summit Creative Awards (Oregon, USA) and received three awards from the Chinese Canadian Advertising, Media and Marketing Association (CCAMMA). He has also been quoted numerous times in AdNews Online Daily, Strategy Magazine and Marketing Magazine in regards to the ethnic media in Canada. In 2008, Justin won 3 Summit International Emerging Media Awards for innovation in the use of high tech media.
Justin is also very active in charity and community efforts establishing him as a leader and role model in the Chinese Canadian community. He sits on a number of Boards and participates in many philanthropic causes. In May 2002, Justin was honoured with the Canadian Youth Business Foundation’s first ever Entrepreneurship Champion Award for his service to helping young entrepreneurs in Canada. In September 2002, he was presented with the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal by Senator Frank Mahovlich, for his community service and philanthropy.
Justin is a founding committee member of the Cathay Ball (annual fundraiser for the Mon Sheong Foundation), the Founding Chair of the Chinese Canadian Development Committee (CCDC) for the Hospital for Sick Children Foundation and Chairs the Chinese Outreach Committee for the Toronto International Film Festival Campaign Cabinet. He is also the Immediate Past Chair of the Program Advisory Committee for the School of Radio and Television Arts (RTA) at Ryerson University where he has established a scholarship.
