Sports and playgrounds form a significant part of fun physical activity opportunities for children. As parents, chances are your child has experienced a bump on the head now and then. But when do you know if your child needs just a little comforting or if the bump or injury (bruising, bleeding, swelling or shearing) requires immediate medical attention? Dr. Howard will share with parents how to prevent child injuries in playground.

– Once inside the hosspital, walk down Main Street towards the bank of elevators by Shoppers Drug Mart
– Take the elevator up to the 1st floor

Dr. Howard is a paediatric orthopaedic surgeon who has a large and diverse clinical practice. His clinical interests include complex orthopaedic trauma and surgery for spinal and lower extremity deformities.
Dr. Howard’s research focuses on prevention of road traffic injuries to children, which are overwhelmingly the leading cause of death for children in developed countries. He studies the biomechanics and epidemiology of child motor vehicle occupant injuries. Dr. Howard also studies the epidemiology of other major categories of unintentional childhood injury, including pedestrian and cyclist injuries, falls and sports injuries.
