NAAAP Toronto & Junior Achievement Invests in Kids for their Future
In one day, you can make a difference in a child’s education which can last a lifetime. We are looking for volunteers to deliver a powerful one-day program in a grade 7 classroom. Junior Achievement provides all of the training and materials necessary to make your day in the classroom a fun experience as well as a wonderful success.
- You can volunteer on you own or in a team of two.
- You will be assigned to a high school by Junior Achievement within Greater Toronto Area.
- You will be provided with a pre-scheduled 1-hour teleconference training before you go into the classroom.
- Through participation in this initiative, CFP® professionals can earn up to 5 FPSC-approved CE Credits under the new Giving Back category, as well as 3 credits in the Financial Planning category each time they present the Dollars with Sense program in a classroom setting.
Register by sending an email with your contact details to: [email protected] or [email protected], no later than Friday, May 16.
Program Details
The program runs for the full school day on Wednesday, Jun 11, so volunteers would have to take a day away from their regular work. Upon request, we can provide you with a volunteer opportunity letter from JA, so your employer would understand a bit of what you will be doing.
We welcome volunteers with any kind of workplace experience. While many of our volunteers do come from a financial background, it’s definitely not a requirement. We ask that our volunteers do have a few years of work experience in whatever field they are in so they can share those experiences with the students.
